We explain how pricing works, which plates you need for self-driving in/from Germany, and what we handle for you.
200 € + fuel within Germany (we use our delivery plates). Perfect when the car is roadworthy and you need it moved quickly.
Official fees for plates/insurance are paid separately if needed.
2.5 €/km one way across Germany & the EU. Good for long distances, non-running cars, or when timing must be fully predictable.
Minimum order and waiting times (if any) are agreed in advance.
Short-term plates for up to 5 days for test drives and transfers within Germany. Typically, a valid inspection (HU/TÜV) is required; without it, only limited trips to the nearest Prüfstelle are allowed within the district/adjacent district.
You will need: ID, Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I/II (if available), insurance code eVB. Validity and conditions are noted in the issued Fahrzeugschein.
Export plates for leaving Germany and driving abroad. The validity period is chosen on issue (weeks to months) and depends on the selected insurance and route requirements. Used to legally move the car to its destination in the EU/beyond.
You will need: passport/ID, ZB I/II, eVB, valid HU/TÜV for the period, and fees/taxes per the federal state’s rules.
Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil I = small registration certificate; Teil II = large certificate. Teil II confirms disposal rights over the car but is not, by itself, proof of ownership.
We arrange Kurzzeit or Ausfuhr plates, pick the insurance, advise on timing and route, and prepare the paperwork set.
We deliver within Germany on our plates: 200 € + fuel. We agree the route and ETA, then report with photos/geotags.
We arrange trailer transport: 2.5 €/km one way across Germany and the EU using vetted carriers.
